STEM AP Awards 2021

Every year New York Academy Educational Services (NYA) recognizes successful high school students for their exceptional achievement in multiple AP Exams of STEM classes and the teachers whose classes perform well on these exams.

New York Academy will award a total of $15K.

With this award, NYA aims to encourage both AP students and the teachers across the state of New Jersey to pursue scholastic accomplishment in STEM education.

Who May Apply to NYA’s STEM AP Awards?

Every year New York Academy Educational Services (NYA) recognizes successful high school students for their exceptional achievement in multiple AP Exams of STEM classes and the teachers whose classes perform well on these exams. With this AP Awards, NYA aims to encourage both AP students and the teachers across the state of New Jersey to pursue scholastic accomplishment in STEM education and apply for the award as per the following criteria:

  • Students with scores of 4 or 5 on TWO or more AP Exams in 2021;
  • AP teachers 60% of whose students receive a score of 3 or above in 2021 are eligible to apply for NYA’s STEM AP Awards;
  • Teachers and students of schools whose total free and reduced lunch ratio is at least 70% are eligible to apply.

How to Apply and Deadline

Applications should be sent via email to [email protected] by November 5, 2021. We do not accept applications by mail.

The process:

Teachers are required to send the following information: (1) Full name, (2) School email, (3) School name and city, (4) Number of students she/he had in the class in 2020-21 academic year, (5) the average AP score of the students, (6) AP exam success rate (percentage of the students who scored 3 and higher)

Students are required to send the following information: (1) Full name, (2) Email, (3) Grade, (4) School name and city, (5) List of AP exams and their scores she/he took in 2021, (6) GPA as of end of 2020-21 academic year.

Announcement

Winners will be announced on November 15, 2021 on NYA’s website and through its social media channels.
